After months and months of consultation, Tourism WA has released its new narrative.
For those who missed this week’s Narrative Project webinar sessions, a landing page on the Tourism WA corporate website houses the content that was shared in these sessions, including the Narrative Project presentation, storytellers video, three industry case studies, a toolkit and more. Check it out here.
Throughout the consultation process, five pillars were developed:
- Western Australia is ancient tracks, new journeys
- Western Australia is barefoot luxury
- Western Australia is otherworldly phenomena
- Western Australia is majestic landscapes and big skies
- Western Australia is full of characters
Put together, these create ‘Our Story: The Spirit of Adventure.’
How Industry can use Tourism WA’s ‘Our Story’
‘Our Story’ is a tool that is yours to use wherever it adds value and feels relevant. It’s not mandated nor is it stipulated how it must be used.
Tourism WA’s priority is to celebrate the diverse ways different partners integrate it into their marketing, product development and business planning to inspire others to do the same.
To demonstrate how ‘Our Story’ can inspire tourism businesses differently, Tourism WA has partnered with three organisations to create a series of case studies to show how it might be used. They have also created a toolkit with six interactive exercises. These have been designed as thought-starters, regardless of whether operators are reviewing marketing collateral, creating a new brand, or developing new products.
Our Story and BunGeo
Over the coming weeks, BGTP will work with Australia’s South West to develop an Our Story BunGeo case study, and how it will work in with existing brand material. We look forward to sharing the results with you in the coming months.
